Join us on Monday, January 25 2021 as we begin our third mindfulness practice and study circle in which we're turning towards the mechanisms and effects of racism and whiteness.

We're following on from 'The Inner Work of Racial Justice' (Rhonda V.Magee) and 'How to be an Anti-racist' ( Ibram X. Kendi) with 'My Grandmother's Hands' by Resmaa Menakem. Resmaa Menakem is a healer, New York Times bestselling author and trauma specialist.

This committed circle will meet in four sessions happening every three weeks from January to March 2021. 

We meet for 1.5 hours to practice mindfulness and to explore this book in circle. Circle practice offers us a non-judgemental way of listening deeply, and of moving out of our comfort zones and into greater awareness, connection and solidarity.  

In sessions one to three we respond directly to the book. In session four we spend time in reflecting and considering what action may arise for each of us through our shared exploration. 

Dates and time: Monday evenings, 8 - 9.30pm on January 25, February 15, March 8, March 29.

Cost: €30 *this is donated by our group to organisations identified by Resmaa Menakem on his website.
